DUNCAN —
After revealing and compromising photos were dropped off at Wal-Mart of a young child, two charges of Possession of Child Pornography were filed against Jennifer and Michael Edward Turner of Duncan, according to paperwork filed in Stephens County District Court.
Charges were filed against Jennifer on Aug. 23 after she was arrested by Sheriff’s deputies in the afternoon of Aug. 22 after arriving home on Gatlin Rd.
A representative of Oklahoma Department of Human Services rode with deputies and after the arrest of Jennifer, the three children present were placed into emergency protective custody.
A felony warrant with a $100,000 bond was issued for Michael on Friday for the child pornography charge. As of Tuesday afternoon, he had not been arrested.
In the affidavit, DPD Detective John Byers made contact with SCSO Deputy Michael Moore about the case.
Byers brought an envelope of pictures that were turned over to another DPD officer.
Two photos were described in the affidavit as alleged evidence of child pornography that involved an adult male and a child described as “approximately seven years of age” and were, according to the affidavit, found in a roll of film dropped off at Wal-Mart.
The affidavit states Byers told Deputy Moore that Det. Joe Shoemake had identified the adult male in the photos as Michael Turner.
Jennifer was booked into Stephens County Jail and bonded out on Aug. 23 on $20,000 bail. Her preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 10.
After deputies interviewed Jennifer, the three children were placed into DHS custody and transported to the DHS office.
Deputy Moore made contact with Michael who advised he was at work and could not come in to see Moore but would be able to on the morning of Aug. 23.
According to the affidavit, Deputy Moore received a phone call advising Michael would not be in to talk on the advice of his attorney.
