DUNCAN —
Stephens County District Attorney Jason Hicks began reviewing the case involving the shooting death of Devin Edwards, 19, which took place Wednesday night in a Duncan residence.
Duncan Police and investigators were dispatched to the scene at 1015 Cypress about 7 p.m. after a 911 call was placed to the city dispatch communications center.
Detective Donny Foraker said Bradley Lewis, 21, of Duncan and a resident at the home, had made the call after the shooting. Lewis was held for 48 hours as the case was being initially investigated.
Hicks said Friday that he was still reviewing the case and that Lewis had been released from custody.
Foraker said at the time of the shooting, that it appeared Lewis and his girlfriend, Katelyn Oakes, were at the home, when Edwards showed up. Edwards is allegedly Oakes ex-boyfriend.
Edwards died from multiple gunshots to the chest, after he was taken by medical personnel and then transferred to Oklahoma City.
