Halliburton to add 80 employees here

DUNCAN — Since 2010, Halliburton has increased its Duncan payroll by 700 people. They have approximately 2,800 people employed in Duncan and have begun implementation to create efficiencies for future market growth.

That means adding at least 80 more employees to its Duncan base, according to Zelma Branch, who is with Halliburton Corporate Affairs in Houston.

“One of the efficiencies is the creation of a centralized billing process to be operated from Duncan,” Branch said in an email released to The Banner on Wednesday.

It’s part of a corporate-wide initiative to accommodate the future market trends and growth, she noted.

“Another of the efficiencies will require moving approximately 25 employees from Duncan to Houston, during the summer of 2013, to facilitate service improvement for one of our product service lines.”

Branch said that Halliburton continues its commitment to Duncan and this area as demonstrated by the company’s multimillion dollar upgrading of its test well infrastructure that is currently underway.

Other positive news from Halliburton included an advancement in its technology.

“Also here in Duncan, the company announced in  the rollout of its next-generation high-pressure pumping technology – the new Q10™ pump, which is being used to meet the demands of the robust shale market in North America,” Branch shared.

Branch said there are several positions open in various administrative and technical fields.
