Woman rescued from burning home

DUNCAN — A Duncan woman was rescued from her burning home just before midnight Friday, and taken to Duncan Regional Hospital. The extent of her injuries is unknown. The fire was at 209 E. Spruce and firefighters and police, along with Duncan Power, quickly responded to the 911 call. Duncan firefighters had the blaze knocked out within minutes upon their arrival.

A 14-year-old boy and a family member were out searching for their dog in the neighborhood when they spied the flames shooting out of the home.

Neighbors also came out to assist in the rescue before officers and firefighters arrived. An ambulance was quickly requested and CPR was administered to the woman, who is believed to be in her early 40s.
