Breaking News: Marlow home surrounded by police after shots fired

DUNCAN — 5:45 a.m. Update: Sources say the individual has been taken into custody.

Update: Marlow Police Chief Jimmy Williams confirmed at 4:05 a.m. that shots were fired earlier. "Yes, shots were fired inside a residence ... and we are attempting to make contact." He said it is not safe for the general public to go to that area.

MARLOW - Numerous police officers from various agencies have cordoned off an area near Seventh and Apache or Nabor Streets in Marlow this morning after a man in a neighborhood home fired shots inside the home and at officers. The standoff began around midnight and sources say a SWAT team has been called in from out of the county to assist in the situation.

No other details are available but it is believed that assisting Marlow Police are Stephens County Sheriff's Office and Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
