DUNCAN —
Duncan Area Economic Development Foundation members will be looking ahead as they meet to discuss the direction of DAEDF.
The foundation members will meet at 10 a.m. Monday at Red River Technology Center for the annual board meeting. This meeting is traditionally scheduled for January and allows members to elect new board members, while seeing how things are developing economically in Duncan.
“They’ll see here’s where we’ve been and here’s where we’re heading,” DAEDF President Lyle Roggow said. “I’ll tell them we I see us going in 2013, and what we need to do.”
Roggow said things can be in constant transition for DAEDF, and there are often new pursuits for the organization. There also become a focus of discussion for the foundation members.
“Things change; targets move,” he said. “There will be things the board is looking at closer. And not all of them will happen in 2013.
“They will come in and see what we’re doing. They’ll get to ask a few questions.”
While the meeting will be looking to the future and working to move forward, Roggow said the meeting will present an opportunities who moved the Duncan community forward in 2012.
He said there are some board members who will be leaving the board, while others may have the opportunity to be retained. But he was appreciative of the help all board members presented last year.
“We have some board members rolling off,” Roggow said. “We’ll recognize them with plaques.”
