DUNCAN —
Duncan Police and emergency services raced to 11th and Cypress Wednesday evening to the scene of a shooting which resulted in the death of an unidentified male from gunshot wounds.
Two people were placed into custody at the scene of the shooting, but as of press time, no charges had been filed.
Around 7 p.m., Duncan dispatch sent out the call that a shooting had taken place at 1015 Cypress and officers arrived on scene to discover an unidentified white male with several gunshots wounds to his chest, Detective Donny Foraker said at the scene of the crime.
“It appears to be a domestic issue, possibly involving a third party, an ex-boyfriend,” Foraker said Wednesday at the scene.
“Until we get these people sat down and talked to, we don’t know.”
Rifles were drawn by Duncan officers as they approached the house, not knowing what to expect.
The victim was quickly loaded onto an emergency stretcher by medical personnel and Duncan firefighters and brought out of the home and loaded into an AMR ambulance and transported to Duncan Regional Hospital.
Officers handcuffed a male and female and placed them in separate squad cars for transport to the Duncan Police Station for questioning, Foraker said, for questioning.
No other details were available.

Monkeypox must be a joke from above
It’s been over 10 years since I moved out of sporting writing and began writing a column for the editorial page. Every so often this year, I’m rerunning a piece from the first year of the transition. This column first appeared in The Duncan Banner in June 2003.

A special day for memories
Father’s Day is a special occasion in my life. Thoughts of my dad surface easily. And lessons he taught seem to be entrenched in the lives of our three sons even though he died before their births.
