Null — Pitman

WEATHERFORD, Texas — Katie Lyn Null and Joshua Scott Pitman, both of Weatherford, Texas, exchanged wedding vows at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010, in Immanuel Baptist Church in Duncan.

The bride’s parents are Larry and Vickie Null of Duncan. Her grandparents are Gaylon Wood and the late Jackie Wood of Duncan, Lois Null of Fort Worth, Texas, and the late H.L. and Clois Null of Fort Worth, Texas.

The groom’s parents are Tammy Pitman and David Summerville of Weatherford, Texas, and Randy and Karen Pitman of Saginaw, Texas. His grandparents are Jerry and Ramona Wren of Amarillo, Texas, the late Suzann Wren, Rich and Sue Marcotte of Azie, Texas, the late Earl Pitman.

The officiating ministers was the Rev. Chris Bell of Duncan and the Rev. Andy Harrison of Oklahoma City. Musicians were soloist Lute Croy, cousin of the bride, of Huntsville, Texas, and pianist Serena Webb, friend of the bride, of Duncan.

The front of the church was decorated with seven inch wrought iron candelabra trees holding five tall ivory candles each. In the center of the stage was a five tier wrought iron table holding 15 different sizes of large and tall candles. The unity sand was placed on a single wrought iron table to the side of the stage.

The isle was decorated with 10 7 inch single wrought iron candle holders with ivory candles and the isle was covered in red and ivory rose petals.

The bride was escorted by her father, Larry Null, and given in marriage by her parents.

The bride’s dress was a Sottero and Midgley and regal beadwork decorating the bodice, basque waistline falls into a caught up skirt. Grand Motifs at skirt back, one piece A-line strapless with basque waist and corset back, ivory color with pewter embroidery.

She had a shoulder length ivory veil.

The flowers included red roses with pink and white lilies, wrapped in black and ivory ribbon. In carrying out something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue, the bride carried her grandmother’s rings tied to her bouquet.

The matron of honor was Jordan Phelps of Duncan. Bridesmaids were Amanda Null, sister-in-law of the bride, of Moore, Keri Beth Croy, cousin of the bride, of Huntsville, Texas, and Melissa Silva, cousin of the bride, of Argyle, Texas.

Attendants wore black cotton sateen strapless dresses with ruching and pockets. They carried bouquets of red roses.

The flower girl was Amelia Null, niece of the bride, of Moore.

Best man was Tony Chavez, friend of the groom, of Weatherford, Texas. Groomsmen were Don Simpson, brother of the groom of Arlington, Texas, Rodney Chavez of friend of the groom of Whitney, Texas, Frank Phares, friend of the groom of Arlington, Texas.

Ushers  were Ty Null, brother of the bride, of Moore, and Timothy McNutt, friend of the groom, of Arlington, Texas.

The reception was held in the Fellowship Center of Immanuel Baptist Church of Duncan. Guest book attendant was Morgan Jones, friend of the bride, of Duncan. Program attendant was Isaac Jones, friend of the bride, of Duncan.

Reception assistants were all friends of the bride. They were Ann Spencer of Duncan, Beverly Bailey of Duncan, Billie Shires and Christine Hanson of Harrah, Terri Brown of Midwest City.

Rehearsal dinner was at Immanuel Baptist Church, catered by Chuckwagon BBQ of Velma.

After a short stay in a bed and breakfast, the couple took a five day cruise to Cozumel. The residence after the trip was Weatherford, Texas.

A bridal shower was held at Curtis Elementary School in Weatherford, Texas, hosted by the bride’s co-workers. Another bridal shower was held at Immanuel Baptist Church in Duncan, hosted by the friends of the bride. A bridal show, hosted by Karen Pitman and Tammy Pitman, was held in Saginaw, Texas. A personal shower was held in Duncan, and hosted by the bride’s bridal party and friends.
