Jill Ann Johnson of Duncan and Shane Paul Marquis of Crowley, La., were united in marriage at 3 p.m. March 12, at the Comanche County Courthouse in Lawton. The couple will have another ceremony in late May in Cancun, Mexico.
The bride is the daughter of Patrick and Brenda Johnson of Duncan. She is the granddaughter of Wanda Nease of Marlow.
The groom is the son of Gerald Marquis and Bonnie McClain. He is the grandson of Earnest Marquis.
Judge Joe B. Reeves officiated the ceremony.
In the second ceremony, the bride will be escorted by her father, Patrick Johnson.
The bride will wear a mermaid-style gown, with a double veil, trimmed with beads.
She will carry a bouquet of exotic flowers and plans to have a pink blush exotic tropical flower in her hair.
The attendants’ gowns, will feature beaded bodices, with a flowing bottom, in a pink blush watermelon color and carry a blend of exotic and tropical watermelon blend flowers in bright colors.
The matron of honor is Jamie Dittner of Marlow. Kobe Marquis of Duncan, will be the ring bearer. Wes Johnson of Duncan, is the best man.
Gerald Marquis of Crowley, La. is the usher.
The reception will be held at Gran Caribe Real Cancun Resort’s beach area. Bonnie McClain of Crowley, La., will be the guest book attendant. The resort’s wedding planner and assistants were the reception assistants.
The couple plans to stay in Cancun longer for their wedding trip.
They will establish a home in Duncan.
Their bridal shower will be in April in Marlow.
