Jacobi Elizabeth Nichols and Braden Chase Whatley, both of Norman, exchanged wedding vows at 1:30 p.m. June 11, 2011, at Dornick Hills Golf and Country Club in Ardmore.
Rev. Lance Norton officiated.
Bride’s parents are Jim E. Jr. and Kim Nichols of Shepherd, Mont.
Her grandparents are Dolores and the late Jim E. Nichols Sr. of Healdton, and Leonard and Patsy Jackson of Velma.
Groom’s parents are Jeff and Robin Whatley of Wilson. His grandparents are Elizabeth and the late A.L. Whatley of Wilson, Bobby and Barbara Hodges of Oswalt, and Floyd and Patricia Runnels of Wilson.
Jacobi was escorted by her father, Jim E. Nichols Jr.
She wore a chiffon and lace mermaid silhouette gown with a ruched bodice, strapless modified sweetheart neckline and a scalloped hemline.
Her veil was a fascinator made with horse hair, feather accents and broach detail.
She carried a bouquet of purple and green lilies, and irises with a special locket with pictures of her and her late grandfather, Jim Nichols Sr. and late cousin, Dylan Anderson.
Decorations included green and purple Calla lilies, tiger lilies, peonies, wisteria and hydrangeas. The couple stood under an arbor of feathers, studded ribbon, beaded stems and flowers. Hanging ferns adorned the aisle.
Man of honor was Reece T. Nichols, little brother of the bride, of Shepherd, Mont.
Bridesmaids were D’Raye Rochell of Empire, Cassidy Whatley of Wilson, Natalie Norman of Healdton, Ashlee Thompson of Ada, Toni Pitzer of Edmond, Katie Chatham of Norman, Jill Clark of Ada, Lauren Hensley of Norman, Megan Hensley of Norman, and Bradi Strange of Ardmore.
Best man was Kody Whatley of Durant.
Groomsmen were Greg Whatley of Wilson, Ty Seagroves of Lone Grove, Donnie Sanders, Shawn Sanders, Clayton Wharton, all of Wilson, and Chase Camplain of Norman.
Ushers were Jace Laughlin, Logan Laughlin, both of Edmond, and Rob Nichols of Ardmore.
Flower girls were Jaylea Laughlin of Edmond, Kendie Rochell, Chanlie Rochell, both of Empire, Brynne Norton, Braithe Norton and Dara Norton, all of Fort Worth, Texas.
Ring bearers were Hudson Clark of Ada, Bladen Sanders of Wilson, Ryder Laughlin and Xander Laughlin, both of Edmond.
Reception was at the Santa Fe Train Depot in Ardmore and reception attendants were Julie Riner of Dickson and Loree Idleman of Healdton.
Guest book attendant was Kayla Pattison of Tulsa. Rehearsal dinner was hosted by Jeff and Robin Whatley in their home on June 10. Destination of the wedding trip was Montego Bay, Jamaica. Residence after the trip is in Norman.
