FORT WORTH, Texas — Samples - Haynes



Sheridan Kay Samples of Duncan and Jacob Asher Haynes of Ames, Iowa, exchanged wedding vows at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009, in First United Methodist Church of Duncan with the Rev. Jared Musgrove of Fort Worth, Texas, officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Lynn Samples of Duncan, and Keith Samples of Calabasas, Calif.

Her grandparents are Elwanda Hoyler of Duncan, and Peggy Samples of Enid.

The groom is the son of Eileen and Dr. Joe Haynes of Ames.

He is the grandson of Elaine Haynes of Clinton, Mo.

Providing music were Dr. Tom Labé, pianist; Samantha Street, violinist; Kyle Cantrell, guitarist and soloist; and Lindsey Ameen, soloist.

The altar was flanked by swirling evergreen trees in white urns.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an Anne Barge gown of candlelight French milled lace with entrained skirt and matching veil. She carried yellow tulips, white lilies, yellow calla lilies, orchids and baby’s breath. A handkerchief in the bouquet was carried by her aunt, Jackie Marlar, in her wedding bouquet, and by the bride’s cousin, Krista Yadon, in hers.

Maid of honor was Amanda Brooks of Oklahoma City.

Matron of honor was Ashley White of Bartlesville.

Bridesmaids were Jordan Geurkink of Norman; Emily Hemphill of Moore; Julie Roberts of Edmond; Lindsey Ameen of Tulsa; Kristen Collins of Norman; Katy Shadid of Oklahoma City; LeAnn Yadon of Woodward; and Laura Haynes of Ames.

They wore navy toile bobbinet dresses by Vera Wang designed with sweetheart necklines. They carried petite yellow tulips and baby’s breath tied with navy organza.

Flower girl was the bride’s cousin, Natalie Yadon of Woodward.

Ring bearer was the bride’s cousin, Will Yadon of Woodward.

Best men were Michael Haynes of Ames and Bryan Billings of Oklahoma City.

Groomsmen were Ryan Samples, T.J. Sprague and Kevin Gaddis, all of Oklahoma City; Matt Clakley of Springfield, Mo.; David Jones of Fort Worth; Garth Strohbehn of Ames; and Preston White of Bartlesville.

Ushers were Jerry Marlar of Duncan; Michael Hemphill of Moore; Sean Hunt, Cole McDonald and Mark Weigt, all of Norman; and Gavin Samples of Calabasas.

Scripture reader was the groom’s cousin, Jessica Johnson of Branson, Mo.

Members of the house party were Larissa McCabe of Duncan; Allison Beall of Colleyville, Texas; Murphy Eskridge and Tatianna Proctor of Norman; and Kelsey Kurtz of Edmond.

A reception was held in Chisholm Trail Hall at the Simmons Center.

The grooms parents were hosts for a rehearsal dinner at The Territory Golf and Country Club.

Following a wedding trip to Nueva Vallarta, Mexico, the couple established a home in Norman.

(Prenuptial events included showers in the home of Terry and Kathy Snider of Duncan; Jed and Carolyn Campbell of Duncan; Amanda Brooks of Oklahoma City; Mark and Janalyn Geurkink of Norman; Cathy Witte of Andover, Minn.; and Jeanne Allen of Ames. A bridal luncheon was held in the home of Jerra and Jeff Jones of Duncan.)
