Season ends for Outlaws, Lady Outlaws

DUNCAN — If there was one thing the Marlow Outlaws were looking to change about this season, it was their playoff fortunes.

Unfortunately, the regional round was just as unkind to MHS as the district round was.

Saturday afternoon saw the Outlaws season come to an end as Lindsay scratched out a 61-55 victory at Lindsay High School, eliminating Marlow from the playoffs.

Marlow ends its season with an overall record of 14-11.

During the season, the Outlaws finished runner-up in the Stephens County tournament to Central High.

Jackson Huddleston and Sean Hazel are the only seniors the Outlaws will lose to graduation.

No other information was made available.

During the season, the Marlow Lady Outlaws won the Stephens County tournament for the sixth year in a row, with a victory over the Central High Lady Bronchos.

Emalee Williams, Avery Walker, Ashley O’Dell, Anne Davenport and Madison Waller will all graduate from this year’s Lady Outlaws squad.

CLASS 2A GIRLS REGIONAL PLAYOFFS

HINTON 48 CENTRAL HIGH 46

After facing the No. 2 team in the state in the first round of regionals, the Central High Lady Bronchos were looking for better luck in round two.

But, the Hinton Lady Comets had other ideas as they squeaked out a 48-46 victory over Central High Friday night at Rush Springs High School.

With the loss the Lady Bronchos end their season with an overall record of 17-8.

Central High will lose Caitlyn White, Aleia Daniels, Lora-Lynn Loomis and Lacie Phillips, to graduation.
