DUNCAN —
This wasn’t how the Duncan Demons planned to enter the playoffs.
Friday night saw the Demons end their regular season, suffering their 15th straight loss to the Lions of Durant High School by a score of 52-41.
After ending the first quarter down 13-11, the Demons trailed going into the halftime break 26-23.
A 26-18 run in the second half was more than enough for the Lions to claim their second straight victory over the Demons this season.
Duncan (5-18) was led in scoring by Jack Braught with 11 points followed by Cade Baldwin with 10 points. Isiah Ervin put in six points, with Je’Mario McCoy and DeAndre Vermaire both scoring five points. Ben Peterson added two points.
Friday night will see the Demons open up their playoff journey as they travel to Carl Albert to take on the No. 4 Titans for the first round of regionals with tip-off set for 8 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Lady Demons will be traveling to Piedmont Thursday night for the first round of regionals as they will take on Piedmont with tip-off set for 8 p.m.
