COMANCHE — Throughout the softball season, Comanche senior Shayna Milam was the straw that stirred the drink for the Lady Indians.
In honor of her contributions to the team and her success in conference play, Milam was named the Lake Country Conference Pitcher of the Year.
Joining Milam on the all-superlative team was Abby Barton of Lone Grove, who was named Offensive Player of the Year, and Sarah Arkeketu of Dickson, who earned Defensive Player of the Year.
Milam was joined by two teammates on the All-Conference team. Third baseman Jacobi Clark made the team as a sophomore as did Mica Allen Smith, who made the team as a shortstop.
Most of the teams in the conference contributed two players to the All-Conference team, aside from those given special honors. Marietta and Dickson were limited to one player each.
Kenna Self and Mary Kaye made the team from Madill and Britany Treas and Maggie McBrayer each made the team from Tishomingo. Plainview was represented by Alice Wheelwright and Cristin Galles while Madison McMurtry and Brook Gentry each made the team from Lone Grove.
Riley Rackley and Chelsea Reeves were named Sulphur’s representatives and Katie Collete and Sky Griffin made the team out of Davis.
Rounding out the All-Conference team was Dakota Ingram of Marietta and Jordan Scott from Dickson.
