James Lewis “Butch” Womack

James Lewis “Butch” Womack, 64 of Comanche, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at his home.
Graveside funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at Hope Cemetery, with Lance Smith officiating. Arrangement are under the direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home. Family visitation will be at the home.
Butch was born to James Clyde and Iva Dee Womack on Feb. 4, 1947, in Duncan. Butch was a lifetime resident of the Duncan area. He married Billie “Gayle” Skeen on Nov. 9, 1968.
Butch did just about everything from cowboying, dairyman and farmer to construction work. He loved riding, training and raising his horses. He was a proud, hard working man. He told the family a few days ago that he sure had fun during his life but he may have played a little too hard.
Survivors include his wife Gayle, of the home; daughter Tracy; son Rusty and his wife Candace, all of Comanche; six sisters, May Tilley and her husband G.L., of Marlow, Gene Graham, of Wichita Falls, Texas, Gerol Graham and her husband Dewayne, of Duncan, Iva Dee Pearson, of Marlow, Barbara Parker and her husband Johnny, of Davis, and Pam Petterson and her husband James, of Lone Grove; four grandchildren, Dakota Solie and his wife Amber, and James Womack and his wife Carman, all of Duncan; Jaccilyn Fielding and her husband Kenneth of Temple, and Kevin Womack of Comanche; and one great-granddaughter, Ryley Solie of Duncan.
Pallbearers will be Timmy Vandagriff, Buck Sager, Rodney Thomas, C.D. Suitor, Elmer Skeen, Stacy Skeen and Ritchie Shannon.
The family would like to thank the Aspire Hospice Group for all their help, care and concern the past few weeks.
