DUNCAN — Karen Kay Green, 75, of Duncan passed away on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at Duncan Regional Hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Duncan Cemetery. Karen was born Dec. 9, 1937, at Borger, Texas, to Clarence Moore and Agatha (Klenke) Moore.

Karen married Jerry Green June 24, 1963, in Pampa, Texas. She graduated at Phillips High School and continued her education at St. Anthony School of Nursing. Karen worked several years as a registered nurse including emergency room director for over 30 years. She was also a member of Assumption Catholic Church for 42 years.

Karen is survived by her husband; children, Kay Sanner of Oklahoma City and Mike Green and wife Amanda of Claremore; brother Jay Moore and wife Annette of Miami, Fla.; six grandchildren Lindsay Green, Breanna Sanner, Abby Sanner, all of Oklahoma City, Macy Green of Claremore, Corbin Sanner of Oklahoma City and Parker Green of Claremore. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Paul Moore.

Memorial contributions may be made to Chisholm Trail Hospice.

    A celebration of her life will occur at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 22 at the First Baptist Church chapel in Marlow. Chaplain Tracy Wilson and Pastor Joe Ligon will preside. Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

  • Curtis Franklin Sherman Curtis Franklin Sherman
    Curtis Franklin Sherman was born Jan. 25, 1933, in Rock Creek, Oklahoma, to Carl Franklin and Ruby Mae Sutton Sherman. He defeated a long battle with cancer when he entered the gates of Heaven on May 19, 2013. 
    Curtis proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy earning the rank of Electrician II Class. He served during the Korean War from 1951-55 on the US Battleship St. Paul.
