MARLOW —
Dustin Duane Duncan was born March 5, 1983, in Duncan, to Daron and Patty Duncan, and left to begin his new life with his Heavenly Father Oct. 6, 2012, in Marlow, at the age of 29.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at New Hope Baptist Church West, officiated by the Rev. James Miller and the Rev. Randy Southerland, with interment to follow in Duncan Cemetery under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Dustin attended Duncan Public Schools through the 12th grade, graduating in 2001 from Duncan High School. He was employed laying tile for Hurley’s Creative Tile in Duncan and worked many years in the family business at Duncan Mannequin as a certified welder and painter.
He loved doing auto body repair and paint work, and enjoyed drag racing. He loved to hunt, fish, camp and ride 4-wheelers. Dustin enjoyed all his friends and was a real “people person.”
He was a member of the Westside Christian Church. Dustin’s smile will be greatly missed as well as his caring heart.
Survivors include his parents, Daron and Patty Duncan of Duncan; a sister, Dionna Duncan of Duncan; paternal grandparents: Dwight and Sherry Duncan of Duncan; maternal grandmother, Pat McWhirter of Duncan; three cousins: Casey Fincher of Duncan, Jeff and Riley Platt of Plano, Texas; a nephew, Hunter Armstrong of Duncan; two aunts: Becky and husband Greg Mahaffey of Marlow, and Sheryl Duncan Platt of Plano.
He was preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, Earl Lynn Bishop; paternal great-grandparents: Arvel and Audrey Duncan; maternal great-grandparent, Earl Bishop Sr.; paternal great-grandparent, Pauline Middleton; paternal great-great-grandparents: Johnny and Bonnie Davidson; and maternal great-great-grandparents: Melvin Graham Sr. and Lucille Cary Ryan.
Pallbearers will be Matt Smith, Justin White, Rufus Gainer, Kevin Tennison, Eric Hurley, Adam Marks, Josh Woods, Shelby Hart, Jack Green and Justin Byrd.

Curtis Franklin Sherman was born Jan. 25, 1933, in Rock Creek, Oklahoma, to Carl Franklin and Ruby Mae Sutton Sherman. He defeated a long battle with cancer when he entered the gates of Heaven on May 19, 2013.Curtis proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy earning the rank of Electrician II Class. He served during the Korean War from 1951-55 on the US Battleship St. Paul. -
