DUNCAN — June Marie Ray, 91, longtime resident of Duncan, passed away on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Country Club Care Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Greg Tolle officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Cemetery under the direction of the Don Grantham Funeral Home.

June was born Nov. 29, 1921, in Coalton, Okla., to Forrest C. and Nora (Wilson) Helm.

She married Dosson Lynn Ray on Oct. 31, 1948 at Henryetta, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 1997.

She was employed as a clerk for the City of Duncan for many years. She was an active member of the Garden Club and the First United Methodist Church until her health failed.

June is survived by a daughter, Beverly Moultrie and a son John H. Ray and wife Georgene; three grandchildren Wednesday Tijerina, Alice Wack and J. Dustin Ferris; four great-grandchildren Atticus Wack, Tesla Wack, Alex Tijerina and Ian Ferris.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister Betty S. Chasteen.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
