DUNCAN — March 3, 1930 — Oct. 2, 2012

Pete McCall, 82, of Comanche, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at Wilkins Nursing Home in Duncan.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, in the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Don Grantham Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Pete was born Orville Lee McCall on March 3, 1930, at Walters, to Benjamin F. and Maggie (Morris) McCall. He married Mae Williams on March 11, 1955, in Lawton. He worked for Halliburton Services in their truck shop as a machinist, was of the Baptist faith and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Navy.

Pete is survived by his wife, Mae of the home in Comanche; a daughter, Vickie Jones and husband Andy of Comanche; a sister, Lora Dell Howard of Marlow; eight grandchildren: Jimmy Forney, Jeff Travis and wife Jimmi Gayle, Tiffany Jones, Patrick Jones and wife Lacey, Dennis McCall, Nici Galvan, Kristin McCall, Candace McCall; nine great-grandchildren: Sydney Travis, Payton Jones, Paxton Jones, Victor, Marco and Alivia Galvan, Carson Coats, Jaxon Cromwell, Elijah McCall; two grandsons-in-law: Chester Collier and Jake Cromwell.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents; two sons: Dennis Forney and David McCall; two brothers and five sisters.

Pallbearers will be Calvin Hall, Buck Sager, Patrick Jones, Jeff Travis, Clif Taylor and Pat Jones. Honorary bearers are Linda White, Billie Neighbors, Billy Bob Deaton, Curly Griffith and L.R. Curtis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Assoc.

    Billie Jean (Pollard) Long, 80, of Marlow passed away May 19, 2013, at her home in Marlow.
    A celebration of her life will occur at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 22 at the First Baptist Church chapel in Marlow. Chaplain Tracy Wilson and Pastor Joe Ligon will preside. Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

    Curtis Franklin Sherman was born Jan. 25, 1933, in Rock Creek, Oklahoma, to Carl Franklin and Ruby Mae Sutton Sherman. He defeated a long battle with cancer when he entered the gates of Heaven on May 19, 2013. 
    Curtis proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy earning the rank of Electrician II Class. He served during the Korean War from 1951-55 on the US Battleship St. Paul.
