RUSH SPRINGS —
Jack Leo Porter, 90, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, in Rush Springs.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Southern Baptist Church, with Terry Beard, Richard McCormack and Mike Carter officiating. Burial will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs.
Jack was born Thursday, Nov. 16, 1922, in Kingfisher County to Dexter T. and Mecie (Moore) Porter.
Jack attended Omega High School and lived most of his life in Rush Springs. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Force, serving during World War II. On March 9, 1945, Jack married Elizabeth Biehler in El Reno. Jack and Elizabeth recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Jack worked in the oil field for 20 years. He was a farmer and rancher, growing watermelons, cantaloupe, peanuts and raising horses. Jack was involved in the Rush Springs Senior Citizens, where he served on the board of directors. He was a long-time member of the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs.
Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Porter of the home; son Jack David Porter and wife Jane of Rush Springs; granddaughters Christa Ann Porter of Indianapolis, Ind., and Kari Jane Porter of Oklahoma City and many nieces and nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.
Pallbearers will be Mike Carter, Wayland Smith, Jeff Hudish, Bill Porter, Gerald Farmer, Conn Goodwin. Honorary pallbearer will be Robert Kuntz.

Melva Sue Blake, of Comanche, peacefully passed away Sunday afternoon, June 16, 2013, at Fort Worth, Texas. She was 71 years old.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Dow Pannell officiating. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, under direction of Comanche Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and from a.m. to service time Thursday. -

Troy Glenn Wilson passed away June 16, 2013, in the VA hospital, at the age of 62.
Troy was born May 10, 1951, in Duncan, to Troy E. and Jeanette Rose Fowler Wilson. Troy has lived in Edmond, for the last nine years. He was a Navy Veteran and a hydraulic mechanic working on commercial equipment. Troy loved his family and fishing. -
Homer Gene Brown
Homer Gene Brown was born July 21, 1934, in Jefferson County to Weldon and Claudia Phelps Brown. He passed away on June 15, 2013, in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of 78.
He was a 1952 graduate of Waurika High School. He and Charlene Snider married May 31, 1952, in Waurika. -
