WAURIKA — Rudolph “Rudy” Rodriguez was born Oct. 17, 1966 in Nocona, Texas to Floyd and Lupe Rodriguez. He passed from this life unexpectedly Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at his home in Waurika at the age of 46.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at San Jose Catholic Church in Ryan with Father Joseph officiating. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Rosary will be held 7 p.m. Friday evening at Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika.

Visitation will be noon-1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home in Waurika.

Rudy was a beloved son, father, brother, and uncle. He was a long time resident of Waurika and also called Fort Worth, Texas, home for many years. Rudy will be missed by all that know him. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and condolences during this great loss and continue to appreciate all the support.

Rudy is preceded in death by grandmother Otila Rodriguez, and brothers Floyd Jr. and Sam Rodriguez. He is survived by his parents Floyd Sr. and Lupe Rodriguez, daughter Amber Rodrdiguez, wife Lisa, stepson Dillon, brothers Johnny Rodriguez and wife Helen, Tony Rodriguez and wife Tammy, Sisters Mary Hernandez and husband Octavio, Lily Martinez and husband Herman, Lucy O’Campo and husband Atanacio and Elida Vasquez, sister-in-law Janie Rodriguez and numerous nieces and nephews.

    Billie Jean (Pollard) Long, 80, of Marlow passed away May 19, 2013, at her home in Marlow.
    A celebration of her life will occur at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 22 at the First Baptist Church chapel in Marlow. Chaplain Tracy Wilson and Pastor Joe Ligon will preside. Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

    Curtis Franklin Sherman was born Jan. 25, 1933, in Rock Creek, Oklahoma, to Carl Franklin and Ruby Mae Sutton Sherman. He defeated a long battle with cancer when he entered the gates of Heaven on May 19, 2013. 
    Curtis proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy earning the rank of Electrician II Class. He served during the Korean War from 1951-55 on the US Battleship St. Paul.
