Adan Puertas Morales

DUNCAN —  

Adan Puertas Morales, 66, of Duncan, passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, in the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the Ray of Hope Church with the Rev. Ray Ledbetter and the Rev. Dow Pannell officiating.
Family will receive friends for visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Adan was born Dec. 10, 1946, in San Pedro Chihuahua, Mexico, the son of Gabriel and Eloisa Puertas Morales. He and Iris Fleetwood married June 5, 1975, in Kermit, Texas. He retired from the City of Duncan Street Department in 2002, and worked for the Great Plains Rent-All until 2007, when he retired to rest and spend time with his family.
He was a faithful member of the Gospel Beams Church and loved driving the church van. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, working in his garden, reading his Bible but most especially he loved the time he spent with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Iris Morales of the home in Duncan; his son, Antonio Morales of Duncan; his daughter, Amy Dawn Ralls and her husband Corey of Duncan; a brother, Nichols Morales of Socorro, N.M,; sisters: Catalina Carrasco of Midland, Texas, and Berta Hernandez of Chihuahua, Mexico; four grandchildren: MeKayla Ralls, C.J. Ralls, Abi Ralls and Adan Ralls; an adopted daughter, Rebekah Houston and her husband Paul of Cortez, Colo.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Todd Clark, Cesar Herrera, Jesus Herrera, Manuel Herrera, Roberto Jump, Richey Morales and Leland Morris. Honorary pallbearers are Charlie Burt, Ricky Carrasco, Sergio Carrasco, Servando Carrasco, Mario Herrera, Paul Houston and Corey Ralls
Memorial contributions may be made to Gospel Beams Youth Ministry in his honor.

    A celebration of her life will occur at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 22 at the First Baptist Church chapel in Marlow. Chaplain Tracy Wilson and Pastor Joe Ligon will preside. Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

    Curtis Franklin Sherman was born Jan. 25, 1933, in Rock Creek, Oklahoma, to Carl Franklin and Ruby Mae Sutton Sherman. He defeated a long battle with cancer when he entered the gates of Heaven on May 19, 2013. 
    Curtis proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy earning the rank of Electrician II Class. He served during the Korean War from 1951-55 on the US Battleship St. Paul.
