DUNCAN — Sept. 11, 1921 — Oct. 9, 2012

Alice Tennessee Whiteley was born Sept. 11, 1921 at Comanche, and passed away in Duncan at the age of 91 on Oct. 9, 2012.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 at Don Grantham Funeral Home officiated by the Rev. Randy Southerland with interment to follow at Duncan Cemetery.

Alice was owner and operator of Alice’s Beauty Shop for 12 years retiring in 1964. She loved to sing and enjoyed her church. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker. She attended the Gospel Beams Church in Duncan.

Alice married Carl J. Whiteley in July of 1939 at Sulphur and he preceded her in death Oct. 4, 1984.

Survivors include two sons, Ben Whiteley, Duncan, Carl Lynn and JoAnn Whiteley of Ridgecrest, Calif., nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and two brothers-in-law, Ralph and Louis Whiteley, both of Lawton.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Anna Mae Middleton Sprouse and two sons, Glenn Whiteley and Jack Whiteley.
