DUNCAN — March 6, 1943 — Oct. 4, 2012

Danny Ralph Moriarty, 69, of Duncan, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at home in Duncan.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Bethel Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. Ron Meador officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven

Memorial Gardens under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Danny was born on March 6, 1943, in Altus, the son of Ralph and Mildred Russell Moriarty. He married Sharron Fay Riddles on Sept. 5, 1974, in Duncan. Danny served his community for 21 years with the Duncan Police Department. He retired in 1990, as Captain of Detectives.

He is survived by his wife Sharron of the home; one daughter, Danette Thomason and husband Tony of Sherwood, Ark.; two sons, David Moriarty and wife Cindy, of Smyrna, Tenn., and Bryan McCormack and wife Brenda of Duncan; a sister, Sonya Pat Steele, of Parkville, Mo.; seven grandchildren: Nicole, Zachary, Natasha, Kayla, Alex, Aaron and Haley; and a great-grandchild.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mildred, and two grandchildren.

Bearers will be officers of the Duncan Police Department.

    Troy was born May 10, 1951, in Duncan, to Troy E. and Jeanette Rose Fowler Wilson. Troy has lived in Edmond, for the last nine years. He was a Navy Veteran and a hydraulic mechanic working on commercial equipment. Troy loved his family and fishing.
