Tyler Jay Howeth

Jan. 30, 1986 — Jan. 7, 2013

COMANCHE — Tyler Jay Howeth, of Comanche, peacefully passed away Monday morning, Jan. 7, 2013, at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, surrounded by his loving family. He was 26 years old.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at Parkview Baptist Church in Duncan, with Bro. Steve Gillispie officiating, assisted by Bro. Rusty Canoy. Interment will follow at Duncan Cemetery, under direction of Comanche Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday in the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Tyler was born Jan. 30, 1986, in Duncan, to Harvey and Linda (Gandy) Howeth. He graduated from Comanche High School in 2004. He loved playing basketball and baseball, and especially enjoyed playing ball at the Simmons Center.

He loved his dog Miley; she was his constant companion. Tyler enjoyed putting model cars together, playing video game, including “Call of Duty.” Reading the Bible was one of the things he enjoyed most. He was an active member of Parkview Baptist Church.

More than anything else, Tyler loved and adored his daughter, Maddisyn. He took his greatest pleasure in being able to spend time with her and all of his family.

Survivors include his daughter, Maddisyn of the home; his parents, Harvey and Linda Howeth of Comanche; two sisters: Tamera Howeth, Moore, and Tina Taylor and husband Chris, Duncan; five nephews: Derek Bohannan, Trent Taylor, Tanner Hefner, Chance Taylor and Dylan Taylor, all of Duncan; and a great-niece, Kylar Bohannan, Duncan; and many other relatives and very dear friends.

Tyler was preceded in death by his grandmothers: Pauline Hawkins and Eva Mae Howeth; and a grandfather, Calvin Howeth.

Pallbearers will be Johnnie Hall, Larry Rozzell, Robert Rush, Robert Parkhill, Ronnie White and Charlie Gay.  Honorary pallbearers are class members of the Comanche High School Class of 2004.
