Bert Lana, 90, died May 20, 2013, in Abilene, Texas. His wife, Beth Lana, 88, died March 15, 2013, in Abilene, Texas. The Lanas were employed by Duncan Public School District from 1957-1974.

Memorial services for Tim Hanson, 55, of Duncan, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 22, at New Hope Baptist Church West with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating and under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. There is no visitation scheduled at the funeral home.
Valton Earl “Fat” Denham departed this life Tuesday, June 18, 2013, in Ryan, at the age of 68 years, 5 months and 20 days.

William Chapman Southerland was born Dec. 10, 1933, in Rush Springs, to Mellie Mae Ethel Chapman and William Henry Southerland. He graduated in 1951, from Chickasha High School in Chickasha.

Melva Sue Blake
Melva Sue Blake, of Comanche, peacefully passed away Sunday afternoon, June 16, 2013, at Fort Worth, Texas. She was 71 years old.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Dow Pannell officiating. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, under direction of Comanche Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and from a.m. to service time Thursday.
Jerry Lynn Pruitt, resident of Kenai, Alaska, son of Jimmie H. and Betty Pruitt, was born Aug. 27, 1956, in Sinton, Texas. He died Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at his parents’ ranch, east of Duncan.
Troy Glenn Wilson passed away June 16, 2013, in the VA hospital, at the age of 62.
Troy was born May 10, 1951, in Duncan, to Troy E. and Jeanette Rose Fowler Wilson. Troy has lived in Edmond, for the last nine years. He was a Navy Veteran and a hydraulic mechanic working on commercial equipment. Troy loved his family and fishing.
Homer Gene Brown was born July 21, 1934, in Jefferson County to Weldon and Claudia Phelps Brown. He passed away on June 15, 2013, in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of 78.
He was a 1952 graduate of Waurika High School. He and Charlene Snider married May 31, 1952, in Waurika.
Floyd Doil Park, 89, passed from this life June 17, 2013, in Nocona, Texas.
