DUNCAN —
Joyce Cook Waggoner was born Sept. 28, 1922, in Duncan, and passed away Oct. 27, 2012, at her home in Duncan, at the age of 90.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Duncan Cemetery, officiated by the Rev. R.K. Miles under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Joyce was a graduate of Duncan High School and attended the University of Oklahoma. She worked for Koch Oil Co. and retired in 1961. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She enjoyed traveling, reading and watching OU football.
Joyce and Homer F. Waggoner were married Dec. 12, 1942, in Duncan. They lived in Norman, Midland, Mich., Buffalo, N.Y., and Pasadena, Calif., before returning to Duncan in 1952. Homer preceded her in death Nov. 13, 2011.
Survivors include her sister, Alma Jo Blankenship, Duncan; a niece, Sue Ellis and husband Tom of Duncan; two great-nieces, Lauren Ellis Siess; Duncan and Brooke Parker O'Dell, Mobile, Ala.; two great-nephews: Jonathan Ellis, Charlotte, N.C., and Brian Parker of Birmingham, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Waggoner; her parents, Miller P. and Allie Duncan Cook; two sisters: Dorothy Russell and Murvelle Wilbern; and a niece, Pam Parker.
Honorary bearers are her caregivers.

Melva Sue Blake, of Comanche, peacefully passed away Sunday afternoon, June 16, 2013, at Fort Worth, Texas. She was 71 years old.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Dow Pannell officiating. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, under direction of Comanche Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and from a.m. to service time Thursday. -

Troy Glenn Wilson passed away June 16, 2013, in the VA hospital, at the age of 62.
Troy was born May 10, 1951, in Duncan, to Troy E. and Jeanette Rose Fowler Wilson. Troy has lived in Edmond, for the last nine years. He was a Navy Veteran and a hydraulic mechanic working on commercial equipment. Troy loved his family and fishing. -
Homer Gene Brown
Homer Gene Brown was born July 21, 1934, in Jefferson County to Weldon and Claudia Phelps Brown. He passed away on June 15, 2013, in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of 78.
He was a 1952 graduate of Waurika High School. He and Charlene Snider married May 31, 1952, in Waurika. -
