DUNCAN — Aug. 12, 1914 — Oct. 11, 2012

Former Duncan resident William Huey Dixon, 98, of Arkansas City, Kan. died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 in Arkansas City.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16 at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike McCord officiating. Interment will follow at Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.

William Huey was born on Aug. 12, 1914 in Foster, to Loddie Clinton and Julia Ann (Riggles) Dixon. He married Beulah Clark in January of 1941 in Chickasha. She preceded him in death on Feb. 17, 2000.

Huey was employed with Halliburton Services for 35 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ardmore, Oklahoma and the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by a son, Clinton Dixon and wife Shirlene of Broken Arrow, a daughter, Martha Jackson and husband Elliott of Arkansas City, grandchildren: Elliott William Jackson and wife Crystal of Greensburg, Penn., Brad Jackson and wife Rosalyn of Grainola, Christopher Dixon and wife Ashley of Knoxville, Tenn., Justin Jackson and wife Heather of Summerville, S.C. and Stephanie Dixon of Brooklyn, N.Y., ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother, five sisters and one great granddaughter.
