DUNCAN —
Billie Jack Bradley, 84, passed from this life and joined his Heavenly Father on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at West Side Christian Church with the Rev. Terry Schlein officiating. Burial will follow in the Duncan Cemetery under direction of the Don Grantham Funeral home.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the funeral home.
Billie was born April 15, 1928, at Wichita Falls, Texas, to Donald R. and Willa Mae (Glenn) Bradley. He was one of three children. On Jan. 26, 1951, he married Maria Castro, and through this union two children were born.
He graduated from Rider High School in 1945, and continued his education at the University of Texas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in petroleum engineering in May 1951. He was employed as an engineer by Halliburton, where he retired after 36 years. In his spare time he loved flying airplanes and taught as a flight instructor for more than 40 years.
He is survived by two sons: Stephen Bradley and wife Junetta of Kingwood, Texas, and David Bradley of Bentonville, Ark.; two sisters: Betty Jean Haynes of Lafayette, La., and Tria Alexandria Roesch of Denver, Co.; four grandchildren: Tamara Kirkley of Broken Arrow, Dusti Brown of Marlow, and Jefferey and Jeremy Bradley of Kingwood, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Chris Zimmerman, Ron Savage, Paul Moore, Jim Holland, Warren Davenport and Bob Skiles.
