DUNCAN —  

Funeral service for Ava N. Shelton is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in Keller Cemetery. Family will hold a visitation from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. 
Ava N. Shelton was born March 8, 1955, in San Antonio, Texas, to Floyd and Merle Taylor Cook. She passed this life on March 6, 2013, in the local hospital.
She and Ray Shelton were married in Gene Autry in 1980. She had worked at Beatle Plastic for several years and had most recently worked as a cook at the Bowl-a-Rama in Lone Grove. Cooking for her family at family gatherings was one of her favorite things. 
She is survived by her husband, Ray of 32 years; three daughters: Jessica Shelton of Lone Grove, Angela Stinson and her husband Randy of Lone Grove, Tracy Ward and her husband Matt of Ardmore; three sons: Frank Cole Jr. of Texas, Ray Shelton Jr. and his wife Nikki of Lone Grove, and Floyd Cole also of Lone Grove; two sisters: Doris Shelley of Lone Grove and Margie Coslett and her husband Jim of Corsicana, Texas; three brothers: Ray Cook of Comfort, Texas, Robert Cook of Sanger, Texas, Jimmy Cook and his wife Beverly of Comfort; seven grandchildren: Brittaney Davis, Tanner Beard, Brylan Ward, Caleb Ward, McKinnley (Gracie Mae), Drake Shelton, Piper Shelton, and many adopted kids throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Flora Wright.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Faulkner, Jonathan Faulkner, Buddy Lusk, Patrick McCauley, Justin Berry and Ray Shelton Jr.
