MARLOW —
Ralph Jackson Swinford, 65, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at his home in Marlow.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, in the Walters Cemetery with pastor Bubba Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Walters Cemetery under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Ralph was born Monday, Aug. 25, 1947, in Walters to Ralph Jackson Swinford Sr. and Jessie Mae (Perryman) Swinford. Ralph graduated from Pernell High School. He had lived in the Manford area for many years and in Marlow for the past 10 years.
Ralph served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked in many parts of the country as a pipeline inspector. He was a former Mason and Shriner.
When Ralph was younger, he loved riding and breaking horses. He was an avid gun collector and loved to cook out. Ralph enjoyed having family time, and was greatly loved by his nephews and nieces and grand-nephews and nieces.
Survivors include son, Shon Ray Swinford of Manford; step-father, Andy Vronek of Marlow; sisters: Elisa Lucas and husband Jackie of Marlow, and Andrea McLaughlin of Cypress, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Jonathan Ralph Swinford.
Pallbearers will be his first cousins.
