TATUMS — Rudolph V. Hooks of Tatums, was born Nov. 1, 1926, to Matthew and Nettie Hooks in Tatums, and passed from this life Dec. 4, 2012, in Healdton, at the age of 86 years.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, in the Bethel Baptist Church in Tatums, with Ecclesiastical Adjutant Elder Ronnie Hooks officiating. Interment will be in the Tatums Cemetery under direction of Wooster Funeral Home.

He attended school in Tatums. Rudolph worked at Varner Grocery Store and the Department of Transportation where he retired. He was a member of Prince Hall Lodge F. & A. M. Jurisdiction of Oklahoma and served in the U. S. Army.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters and one brother.

He married Arlene Hooks and to this union four children were born.

He is survived by his four children, two sisters, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; Sharon Smith (Thaddeus), Jerry D. Hooks (Johnnie), Sheila Scott of Tatums, Felicia Hooks of Tatums, Betty Norman of Lawton, Mary Stevens of Los Angeles, Calif.; a very special cousin, Hughzetta Chism of Kansas City, Mo.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
