DUNCAN — Edith Eva Jennings was born June 15, 1916 in Lawton, to Harve Dalton and Bessie Baker and passed away on Nov. 29, 2012, at the age 96 in Duncan.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.

Visitation was from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, and will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at Don Grantham Funeral Home in Duncan.

Family visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Edith graduated in 1933, from Comanche High School.

That same year, she married her husband, Hubert Jennings, on Oct. 18, and raised two children, Gordon K. Jennings and Patricia June Rowell. She was a business owner running a grocery/liquor store and laundry service.

Survivors include her children; a sister, Betty Kook; three grandchildren: Vicki Ross, Ricky Rowell and Stacy Jennings; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers: Herb and Dale Dalton.
