COMANCHE —  

Nell Jo Bowen, a lifelong resident of Comanche, peacefully passed away Sunday morning, Feb. 10, 2013, at Duncan Regional Hospital. She was 75 years old.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Dow Pannell officiating. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, under direction of Comanche Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to services time Tuesday.
Nell was born Oct. 5, 1937, in Comanche, to Dewey and Opal Nelson Richards. On Oct. 23, 1952, she and Kenneth Ray Bowen were united in marriage at Henrietta, Texas. They raised their two children, Theresa and Kenny, in this community.
Nell was very active in church. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Being with her family during the holidays was very special to her.
Survivors include her daughter, Theresa Randolph of Comanche; three grandsons: Cary McCreight, Durant, Coby Beck and Shannon Perry, Dallas, Texas, and Chance Beck and wife Miranda, Comanche; five great-grandchildren: Michaela Beck, McKenzie Beck, Hunter Beck, Easton Beck and Carson Beck.
Nell was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth in 2007; a son, Kenny Bowen in 2001; her parents; and three brothers: Jack Richards, Garland Richards and Jerry Richards.

    Curtis Franklin Sherman was born Jan. 25, 1933, in Rock Creek, Oklahoma, to Carl Franklin and Ruby Mae Sutton Sherman. He defeated a long battle with cancer when he entered the gates of Heaven on May 19, 2013. 
    Curtis proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy earning the rank of Electrician II Class. He served during the Korean War from 1951-55 on the US Battleship St. Paul.

    Nancy J. Breesawitz, 65, of Duncan passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013, peacefully at home with her son Carl by her side, after a long battle with a brain tumor.
    Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Thursday, May 23 in the Duncan Cemetery with Pastor Jackson officiating.
