DUNCAN —
Eva Louise Weedn, 91, longtime resident of Duncan, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15 in Fort Smith, Ark.
Graveside services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of the Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Eva was born July 8, 1921, in Fletcher to B. Tillman Williams and Martha Frances (Janousek) Williams. She attended schools in Oklahoma City and the University of Oklahoma. She married Joseph Dwight Weedn on March 16, 1940, and to this union three children were born.
Eva was a member of the First Christian Church. She had been active in the Stephens County Medical Auxillary, Duncan Ladies Golf Association, and the Women’s Oklahoma Golf Association. She enjoyed golf, fishing, working in her yard, her wonderful neighbors in Duncan, teasing with all her fabulous caregivers and all types of dancing.
Eva is survived by a daughter, Vicki Calaway and husband Rob of Fort Smith, Ark. Five grandchildren, Dr. Allyson Weedn Moulton of Columbia, S.C., Juliette Catherine Moulton of Little Rock, Ark., Megan Michelle Walsh of Austin, Texas, Edward Michael Walsh of Minneapolis, Minn. and Ryan Weedn Overton of Houston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Kathi Jo Walsh and a son Roger Dwight Weedn.

Curtis Franklin Sherman
Curtis Franklin Sherman was born Jan. 25, 1933, in Rock Creek, Oklahoma, to Carl Franklin and Ruby Mae Sutton Sherman. He defeated a long battle with cancer when he entered the gates of Heaven on May 19, 2013.Curtis proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy earning the rank of Electrician II Class. He served during the Korean War from 1951-55 on the US Battleship St. Paul. -
