DUNCAN —
Rachel Addison Rothner, 21, of Duncan, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, after an auto accident.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m, Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. David Spangler officiating. Burial will follow in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of the Don Grantham Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at the funeral home.
Rachel was born Dec. 16, 1990, in Oklahoma City to Fonda and the late Lonnie T. Rothner.
She grew up in the Empire area and attended elementary school there. Rachel accepted Jesus as her savior and joined Fair Baptist Church. She was a 2009 graduate of Duncan High School, and was employed as a child care provider in Oklahoma City.
She loved all aspects of music. She enjoyed traveling, painting, Facebooking, hanging out with her friends and was an avid Oklahoma City “Thunder” fan.
Known as Whitey to many; her fondest memories were peforming in Reflections Show Choir and her roles in Annie, Cinderella, and Smoke on the Mountain.
She had a special love for children and they for her. Rach had a big heart and once you became her friend, it was forever. She was here to help any way she could and make any day better. She always protected those she loved before herself.
Rachel Addison Rothner was one of a kind, who made this world a sweeter place. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Rachel is survived by her parents, Fonda and Bill Cheatwood of Empire, one brother Blake Cheatwood, a sister and brother-in-law, Ryan and Evan Dymond, and nephew, Caden Dymond of Oklahoma City and her godson, Gavin Brown; her grandparents Almeda and Charles DeHart and Mack McClennen, of Duncan, Bill and Betty Cheatwood of Lexington, and Ted Rothner of Oklahoma City; aunts and uncles Faryl Farmer of Chickasha, Shanon and David Cruz of Whittier, Calif., and Marsha Bell of Edmond, Chuck and Kathy DeHart, Guthrie, and Rebel and Steve Knight of Yukon.
Also surviving are a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins and close family friends.
Pallbearers will be Baylea Brown, Rebekah Dean, Kalee Fleetwood, Megan DeLeon, Joni Sparks, Sarah Coast, Katie Porter, Jenn Bowman and Alysen Mirth. Honorary bearers will be Kevin Zinn, Reflection Show Choir members, her little sweeties, Gavin Brown, Brycen Dean, Laya Coast, Korbin Porter and Evie Bowman.
In lieu of flowers a memorial account has been established at BancFirst in Rachel’s name.

Melva Sue Blake, of Comanche, peacefully passed away Sunday afternoon, June 16, 2013, at Fort Worth, Texas. She was 71 years old.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Dow Pannell officiating. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, under direction of Comanche Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and from a.m. to service time Thursday. -

Troy Glenn Wilson passed away June 16, 2013, in the VA hospital, at the age of 62.
Troy was born May 10, 1951, in Duncan, to Troy E. and Jeanette Rose Fowler Wilson. Troy has lived in Edmond, for the last nine years. He was a Navy Veteran and a hydraulic mechanic working on commercial equipment. Troy loved his family and fishing. -
Homer Gene Brown
Homer Gene Brown was born July 21, 1934, in Jefferson County to Weldon and Claudia Phelps Brown. He passed away on June 15, 2013, in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of 78.
He was a 1952 graduate of Waurika High School. He and Charlene Snider married May 31, 1952, in Waurika. -
