DUNCAN —
MARLOW — Lauretta Burton Reynolds was born to William Lafayette and Vela Ina Lewis Burton on March 10, 1924, in Temple, and departed this life Jan. 26, 2013, in Duncan, at the age of 88 years, 10 months and 16 days.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home. Private family graveside service will be at 9 a.m. Feb. 9, at the Walters Cemetery. Memorial services for both family and friends will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at First Baptist Church Chapel, Marlow, with Dr. Ed Sasnett, of Norman, officiating under direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters.

Lauretta graduated from Temple High School and attended The Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha.
On April 23, 1943, she was united in marriage to John Phillips Reynolds. He preceded her in death June 30, 2008, after 65 years of marriage.
Lauretta worked at Walters High School in the library and later on worked with her husband to launch a bank start up, Citizen’s Bank in Velma. She enjoyed crafts, painting, reading, sewing costumes for her grandchildren, and spending time with her family and friends.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Marlow
She is survived by her two sons: William R. “Bill” Reynolds and his wife Bonnie Barton Reynolds of Marlow, Phil Reynolds and his wife Susan Reynolds of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren: Justin R. Reynolds and his wife Karen of Denton, Texas, Jordan Reynolds Phelps and her husband J’Bob of Norma, John Phillips Reynolds II and his wife Tiffany of Houston, Texas, James Edward Reynolds and his wife Meagan of Dallas, Texas, and Matthew Reynolds of Houston, Texas; seven great-grandchildren: Noah, Talynn, Sean, Kara, Brittani, Shiloh and Harper; two brothers: Lewis Burton of Dallas, Texas, and Gail Burton of Bentonville, Ark.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
