DUNCAN —
Mary Luella Curry was born Sept. 30, 1922, in Foss, to Benjamin and LeNora Schuster Woods. She passed from this life Jan. 9, 2013, in Duncan, at home with her family at her side.
On June 8, 1926, she married John C. Curry in Clifton. He preceded her in death April 13, 1991.
They were blessed with four children: Freda Morton, San Bernardine, Fla.; John Jr. and Debbie Curry, and Mary and Ron Foster, all of Duncan; and Nora and Harvey Mercer of Marlow.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, who loved her deeply; also a brother, Charles Woods of Ardmore; a sister-in-law, Ella Woods of New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters.
Luella loved going to garage sales to buy toys and clothes for all of her family plus having her own garage sales. She was a loyal OU and Dallas Cowboys fan.
There will be a memorial at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at Miracle Revival Church, 2865 S. 13th (old South U.S. Highway 81). In leiu of flowers, the family requests donations to Duncan Hospice.
