Ernest Marvin Wilkins

July 10, 1941 — Jan. 2, 2013

DUNCAN — Ernest Marvin Wilkinson, 71 of Duncan, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, in Comanche County Memorial  Hospital.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Duncan Cemetery with Mario Pineda officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

Ernest was born July 10, 1941, in Duncan, to Ernest Elmer and Bessie Luello Reynolds Wilkinson. He was a self-employed mechanic. He had been a resident of the Duncan area all of his life. He married Helen Lavada Youngblood, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include sons: MarvinWilkinson and wife Marquita of Duncan, Johnny Wilkerson and wife Leah of Comanche; daughters: Linda Kirk and husband James of Duncan, Patty Wilkinson of Duncan, and was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Carolyn Sue. He is survived by a brother, Hubert Wilkinson of Stringtown. He was preceded in death by Carlton, Melvin, Elmer and Ray Wilkinson. He was also survived by a sister, Linda Sue Mayberry and husband Billy; grandchildren: Janet Johnson, Joshua Wilkinson, Mallory Ogan, Justin Kirk, Christopher Wilkinson and Tommy Wilkinson; great-grandchildren: Cameron Wilkinson, Marshall Ogan and Jaxon Wilkinson.

Honorary pallbearers are Christopher Wilkinson, Tommy Wilkinson, Richard Wilkinson, Joshua Wilkinson, Richard Howard, Cameron Wilkinson and Billy Mayberry.

    The family will receive friends 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, at the Don Grantham Funeral Home.
