DUNCAN — Aug. 11, 1932 — Aug. 17, 2012

Marlene Moore Smith, 80, of Duncan died Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at home in Duncan. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Greg Tolle officiating, under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Marlene was born Aug. 11, 1932 in Duncan, the daughter of Marvin H. and Myrtle Cooper Moore.

She married Charles Edward “Sonny” Smith Jr. on Feb. 10, 1948 in Clemscott. She was a self-employed seamstress, and a book keeper for several oil field service companies. They lived in Velma and Countyline before moving back to Duncan. She loved to bake and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Smith and Karen Cooley, both of Duncan, and one granddaughter, Jennifer Cooley of Chicago, Ill..

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Myrtle, her husband, Sonny, and a sister, Shirley Smith.
