DUNCAN —
Lester Cobb Lewis passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6 at his home in Duncan. Lester was a quiet man who lived a life of integrity, good humor and unwavering love for his family. As a result, all of his family will miss him dearly but are deeply grateful for the time spent with him and the lessons learned from him.
His loving wife of 62 years, Doris Estellene Lewis, survives him, as do his two sons Thomas Lewis of Amarillo, Texas and Mark Lewis of St. Augustine, Fla. Thomas and his wife Sharon’s children are Eric Lewis, Christy Oxford, Steven Villalobos, Ricky Villalobos. Mark and his wife Cinde’s children are Alyssa Yokota-Lewis, Brandon Lewis, Cody Lewis, Matthew Allen and Jennifer Allen. Both families have in-laws, step-children, grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews who have been blessed by their relationship with Lester.
Lester comes from a family of eight children. His surviving siblings are Leatrice Cash of Oklahoma City, Joe Lewis of Lovington, N.M., Dale Lewis of Grandview, Texas, and Earnest Lewis of New Blaine, Ark. Deceased are sisters Juanita George and Nelda Meyers and brother Cleo Lewis.
The memorial service for Lester will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Grantham Funeral home. Jackie Allen, pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church in Duncan, will officiate.
Honorary bearers will be the members of the Paramore Class at Immanuel Baptist Church.

A memorial potluck dinner will be held in Barbara’s honor for family and friends at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25 at the Velma Baptist Church Life Center.
