DUNCAN — A Duncan man charged will two counts of embezzlement was arraigned Thursday on both counts.
Jerry Lynn Rogers, 48, of Duncan, was arrested Wednesday following an investigation by the Stephens County Sheriff�s Department.
According to the affidavit filed by the sheriff�s office, Rogers owns JT Car Cares in Marlow. According to the affidavit, the Sheriff�s Department had received complaints from Marlow residents who said Rogers sold them warranties. But they allegedly discovered later that Complete Auto Repair Services out of Murrysville, Pa., the company through which the warranties would be made, allegedly hadn�t received any record of the warranties, according to the affidavit.
Sheriff Wayne McKinney said, �He was arraigned on two counts, and is out on bond.�
The bond amount was set at $3,500. Rogers� next court appearance was set for 9 a.m. Jan. 12, 2010.
McKinney said the Sheriff�s Department is continuing to investigate the alleged incidences.
�We�re still looking at other cases,� McKinney said. �We�re working with the DA�s office on it.
�We don�t know what will come of the investigation.�
