Rogers arraigned on two counts of embezzlement

DUNCAN — A Duncan man charged will two counts of embezzlement was arraigned Thursday on both counts.

Jerry Lynn Rogers, 48, of Duncan, was arrested Wednesday following an investigation by the Stephens County Sheriffs Department.

According to the affidavit filed by the sheriffs office, Rogers owns JT Car Cares in Marlow. According to the affidavit, the Sheriffs Department had received complaints from Marlow residents who said Rogers sold them warranties. But they allegedly discovered later that Complete Auto Repair Services out of Murrysville, Pa., the company through which the warranties would be made, allegedly hadnt received any record of the warranties, according to the affidavit.

Sheriff Wayne McKinney said, He was arraigned on two counts, and is out on bond.

The bond amount was set at $3,500. Rogers next court appearance was set for 9 a.m. Jan. 12, 2010.

McKinney said the Sheriffs Department is continuing to investigate the alleged incidences.

Were still looking at other cases, McKinney said. Were working with the DAs office on it.

We dont know what will come of the investigation.
