The Duncan City Council will be discussing several items during their regular meeting Tuesday night at 5:15.
Among the items will be consideration for building replacement and coverage for the Stephens County Historical Museum building. It is being recommended that the council approve functional building replacement cost coverage for the museum with a limit of insurance being $1.7 million, which is the current replacement value of the building.
Also, they council will be looking to adopt a hazardous weather/emergency policy as an amendment to the personnel manual for the employees of the city of Duncan. This has come about due to a situation in 2001 where it was unclear how to pay some employees after missing work due to inclimate weather. This new amendment would address various weather related hazards and emergency situations that would impede public safety or make opening the city facilities impossible or extremely difficult.
The Council will also be given a presentation regarding the financial statements for Oct. 31, of this year.
The Consent agenda for the meeting is as follows:
n Minutes of the Nov. 10, 2009 meeting.
n Purchase order list of claims.
n Issuance of Dec. 2009 blanket purchase orders as required by OS 62, section 310.8.
n Dillon Construction Co. pay request No. 1 in the amount of $59,486.40 for work completed on the Water Treatment Plant TOC Reduction Phase II project, contract No. 9.
