DUNCAN —
At about 11:15 a.m. today, Crista Gibson turned herself in to authorities at the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office on the ground floor of the county courthouse.
Sheriff Wayne McKinney said that both Gibson and her accomplice, Ray Carroll Martin, are now in jail.
The pair had been sought by authorities since Wednesday, a week ago, when they allegedly used a taser and held a pistol on a Comanche woman for more than three hours in the victim’s home. Martin was apprehended by SCSO deputies about 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the Corum area. McKinney did not reveal the exact location of the arrest.
All that mattered, he said, is that the pair are now in custody.
Martin appeared in Stephens County District Court Tuesday for the formal charges, which include assault and battery. He is being held on a $75,000 bond. Gibson hasn’t made her initial appearance yet.
