COMANCHE —
Comanche Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its second annual Membership Drive Cookout at 6:15 p.m. today at Patterson Avenue Baptist Church.
Monetary donations will be presented to the Ray of Hope food bank, Christian Helping Hands and the local volunteer fire department.
These funds were raised during a recent golf tournament the chamber sponsored, said Bruce Akin, president of Comanche Chamber of Commerce.
The cookout will include hamburgers, hot dogs and of course, all the “fixings.”
The Chamber is responsible for several recent community improvement projects and future projects. That includes volunteers helping with curb appeal downtown.
The organization is looking for others who are interested in improving their community.
Tonight’s cookout is open to anyone who is interested in getting involved with the organization or being a volunteer to improve the community.
