Burton — 50 years

DUNCAN — Randall and Nancy Burton

Lifelong residents of Stephens County, Randall and Nancy Burton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner with their children and grandchildren Sept. 10 at Peyton’s Place.

The couple has two children, Keith Burton and wife Sherrie, and Kim Justus and husband Stephen, all of Duncan. Their grandchildren are Ben Justus, Megan Justus, Landon Burton and Luke Burton.

Randall Burton, son of Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Burton, and the former Nancy Graham exchanged wedding vows on Sept. 9, 1961, in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tip Graham, east of Marlow.

They live on the 160-acre farm that Randall’s grandfather, J.E. Emmons, homesteaded in 1909. Randall was employed as a meat cutter for 50 years, having owned his own business, Burton Meat Market, for 10 years.

He later worked for Sam’s Club, from which he retired.

Nancy was a homemaker while their children were growing up, then joined her husband in the family business. She later worked as an administrative assistant for United Way of Stephens County.

They enjoy attending sporting events to watch their grandchildren. Randall enjoys working on the farm, and Nancy works on genealogy projects.
