Toy Shop gets last minute bike donation

Dehydrators, Band Boosters pitch in

DUNCAN — Earlier this week, 10 new bikes were delivered to the Duncan Toy Shop with help from the Duncan Band Boosters. Making the presentation to Toy Shop chairpersons Kathy Snider and Lynn Samples, were Kent Collins, Dehydrator Coordinator and Roger Neal, Band Booster President.

Each year the gifting of bicycles has grown, and this year, the boosters voted to double the amount allotted over last years’ amount. Going forward the boosters are committed to making this a sustainable cause and as The Dehydrator grows in the future, so shall the bike gifting.

This years’ purchase represents almost a dollar of each Dehydrator entry fee being set aside to help brighten someone’s Christmas.

The Toy Shop deliveries begin at 9 a.m. today (Friday). Many volunteers will be busy with the deliveries and distribution process.
