Holiday glow can be found on Broadway

Marlow couple offers light show, open house

MARLOW — The 70,000 twinkling Christmas lights glowing from the Austin home, 1101 N. Broadway in Marlow are more than just decorations. They are an invite to the community to come and enjoy a nightly Christmas light show.

Each night, the lights will be turned on at 6 p.m. and the community will be welcome to come watch the moving light show.

In addition to the light show, homeowner Sherry Austin has decorated her home with 20 Christmas trees that are at least six feet tall and Christmas village pieces from Department 56 including themed pieces from The Christmas Story.

While the light show takes place every night, a tour of the Austin home is available only on Thursdays from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

Austin said she has been placing large, decorated Christmas trees in the front windows of her home for about 10 years but in the last three or four years has added the holiday light show as an extra way to share the season’s spirit.

The light show will run every night until Christmas and the open house will be held tonight and on Dec. 20.

Both events are free and open to the public.
