In a few weeks, the loft above Little Boy Blue Boutique in Marlow will open as The Paper Route, a place for everything paper.
Owner of Little Boy Blue, Jessica Garvin, opened up the space to Amber Price once she heard Price’s idea. From invites, thank yous to wrapping paper, tissue paper and card stock, you will be able to find it at The Paper Route.
“I knew her idea would be successful,” said Garvin. “Upstairs was a blank slate and she just added her office space in.”
Garvin spent a year renovating one of the oldest buildings in Marlow at the corner of Broadway and Main. When Price heard what she was doing through her husband, a Marlow classmate of Garvin’s, she knew it was an opportunity to give into her dream.
“My husband is in med school, so we’ve focused on that but this has always been on the back of my mind,” said Price. “When I heard what Jessica was doing, I thought it could be a good fit and everything fell into place.”
The Prices moved from their residence in Tulsa, where there is a store that Price based her dream off of. Right now, The Paper Route has been some what of a secret as she has been working on building her inventory.
“It’s coming in slowly and I’m hoping to open in the next couple of weeks,” said Price. “It’s all things paper, a little bit of everything and some girlie fun, artsy stuff.”
Shelves are stacked high with every invite imaginable in fun, bright colors adorned with sparkles and ribbons depending on the occasion. It is Price’s goal to make her products easily customizable and affordable.
“There’s nothing like that around here,” she said. “I want people to come in and be able to use their photos and personalize their product.”
